Virtual Style Pod, ett nytt cool sätt att prova outfits

The first shopping mall to use the Virtual Fashion Pod was at The Galleria, on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi  where customers lined up to “try on” complete outfits without ever having to disrobe. 

 A technologically advanced system, the Pod brings together the virtual and physical worlds by combining a life-size screen mirror which overlays the user’s image with incredibly realistic 3D renders of clothing , the world’s first 3D clothing simulation.  It enables users to quickly create outfits by mixing and matching a wide range of garments from the host’s inventory.  

 

“It’s a ground-breaking way of providing an additional touch-point for brands to reach their customers and differentiate the experience they provide,” says Steve Blyth, managing director of Engage. The pod is built by Engage, with Space3D in partnership to create the software and Avantgarde responsible for concept and hosting, the Virtual Style Pod provides a fresh and exciting engagement alternative within the live event and retail sector and should be considered a powerful new innovate to reinvigorate the experiential marketing sector. 

 

The Virtual Fashion Pod provides a fresh and exciting alternative to the traditional dressing room, engaging visitors and empowering them to shop at a higher level of style and trend setting. 

 

Mobile engagement and social media allows hosts to further increase conversions through follow up marketing activities such as sending users selective reminders about items they ‘tried on’ and related marketing materials.  

 

Also on display at the Integrated Systems Europe event on Feb 3-6 on location with Space3D at stand 10 – k142 will be the Holo, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6Yv6BZ3NP4 a 2.4-metre, 360° 'floating' display which can be controlled by hand gestures.  Devised by designer Terence Conran and Beagle Media, Holo will distributed for hire or purchase throughout Europe by Engage.

"Holo is the biggest hologram product on the market using projection and projectors," says Steve Blyth, managing director of Engage. "It's also the only hologram device with gesture control and we at Engage can customise the gesture control experience to suit the client." Engage will share a stand with Space3D at ISE 2014.
